OFFICIAL RULES FOR THE “QUEBEC BROUE X BUD LIGHT X NASHVILLE” CONTEST
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES (“OFFICIAL RULES") BEFORE ENTERING THE “QUEBEC BROUE X BUD LIGHT X NASHVILLE” CONTEST (THE “CONTEST"). BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, THE ENTRANT SATISFIES ALL OF THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS BELOW AND AGREES TO BE UNCONDITIONALLY BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ALL DECISIONS OF LA BRASSERIE LABATT LIMITÉE (THE “CONTEST SPONSOR").
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. YOU MUST BE AGED 21 OR OVER. THE CONTEST IS OPEN TO QUEBEC RESIDENTS ONLY.
The National Football League (NFL), its member professional clubs, NFL Ventures Inc, NFL Ventures LP, NFL Properties LLC, NFL Enterprises LLC, NFL International LLC and each of its subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives and direct or indirect employees (collectively, the "NFL Entities") shall have no liability for any claim arising in connection with participation in this promotion or any prize awarded. The NFL entities have not offered or sponsored this promotion in any way.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to participate, you must: (i) be 21 years of age or older; (ii) be a resident of Québec; (iii) hold a valid Canadian passport for travel to the United States; (iv) not be a member of the immediate family of an employee, subcontractor, agent or representative of the Contest Sponsor, or any of its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies, distribution companies, liquor control boards, liquor licensees, suppliers or licensors, liquor licensees, prize suppliers, or any of their respective shareholders, trustees, officers, directors, employees or agents, or any person domiciled with any of the foregoing. For the purpose of the Contest “immediate family” is defined as parent, spouse, sibling, child, or any person residing in the same household or domiciled with any such employees or representatives. Provincial liquor authorities are not connected with this Contest in any way and are not in any way responsible for any matter relating to this Contest.
If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The person assigned to the e-mail address by an online service provider, Internet access provider, or any other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. An entrant may be required to provide the Contest Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.
If you participate via a mobile device, you may incur standard data charges from your wireless service provider. Please check with your wireless carrier for details of these and other applicable charges. Participants are fully responsible for these data charges. If you do not have access to the Internet via a personal computer, your local library or cybercafé may provide Internet access, and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free e-mail accounts.
CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest begins on or about June 24, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on August 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Closing Date”). The contest takes place in the three (3) participating Québec Broue establishments.
HOW TO ENTER AND HOW TO WIN: To enter the Contest, participants must have Internet access and a valid e-mail address. During the Contest Period, the consumer may purchase one (1) pint (20 oz) or one (1) bottle (710 ml) of Bud Light to obtain one (1) unique PIN code, or may purchase one (1) pitcher (60 oz) or five (5) bottles (341 ml) of Bud Light to obtain three (3) unique PIN codes. He or she must then go to www.shopbeergear.ca/QUEBECBROUEXBLXNASHVILLE and follow the instructions to enter the unique PIN code(s). Once the PIN code(s) entered, he or she will be asked to fill out a Contest entry form in its entirety, including the correct answer to the mathematical skill-testing question. Once all mandatory fields have been completed, click on the "Submit" button.
Limit of one (1) entry per person per day during the Contest Period. Entries must be received by the Contest Closing Date. Entries received after the Contest Closing Date will be null and void. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify an entry for any reason whatsoever, at its sole discretion. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor are final and not subject to appeal. Multiple entrants may not share the same e-mail address. Entrants may not enter with multiple e-mails or use another device to enter under multiple identities. Any entrant attempting to enter with multiple e-mails or accounts under multiple identities will be disqualified and will forfeit any Prize won, at Contest Sponsor's sole discretion.
The Contest Sponsor assumes no responsibility for the inability of any potential entrant to successfully participate in a Draw for any reason whatsoever or for unclaimed or unawarded Prizes. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled, illegible or incomplete entries. Proof of transmission (e.g. screenshots) does not constitute proof of receipt.
For no purchase entry, entries must be received by the Contest Closing Date. Entries received after the Contest Closing Date will not be eligible and will not be processed.
NO PURCHASE ENTRY:
To receive a unique PIN code without making a purchase, please send a stamped envelope to "QUEBEC BROUE X BUD LIGHT X NASHVILLE" at the following address: 50, avenue Labatt, LaSalle (Québec) H8R 3E7 along with a 200-word original text explaining why he or she would like to enter the Contest (the "Original Text"). Limit of one (1) application per envelope. In your envelope, please include (1) your handwritten essay on paper, (2) your return mailing address on a separate postage-paid envelope, and (3) the statement "I am of legal drinking age in my province or territory of residence in Canada" with your name, date of birth, date and signature on paper. Entries must be original. Identical entries will not be accepted and will not be entered in the Contest. Requests must be received in time for a PIN code to be mailed to you in order for you to participate before the Contest Closing Date. While supplies last. Limit of one (1) no-purchase entry per person per day for the duration of the Contest. Any entry that does not meet each of these requirements will be rejected at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsor. The Contest Sponsor is under no obligation to notify you if your entry is declined.
PRIZE: There is one (1) Prize to be won among the three (3) participating Québec Broue establishments, consisting of one (1) sports trip for one (1) winner and his/her guest to Nashville, U.S.A. and one (1) Bud Light guitar (the "Prize"). The trip includes one (1) return economy class flight between Montréal's Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Nashville International Airport, three (3) nights' hotel accommodation (double occupancy at the hotel selected by the Contest Sponsor), transportation to and from Nashville International Airport and the hotel, one (1) ticket for the winner and his/her guest to attend one (1) NFL Tennessee Titans game, one (1) ticket for the winner and his/her guest to attend one (1) hockey game (choice of games is at the discretion of the Contest Sponsor), $500 CAD in spending money (payable only to the winner by Interac bank transfer, prepaid credit card or cheque, at the discretion of the Contest Sponsor), taxes on services included. Travel dates will be between October 18 and 21, 2024 (at Contest Sponsor's discretion) and the winner and his/her guest must be available to travel on those dates. Alcohol is not part of the Prize. The Bud Light guitar has an approximate retail value of $500 CAD, and the trip has an approximate retail value of $8,500 CAD. The approximate total value of the Prize is $9,000 CAD and cannot be exchanged, in whole or in part, for cash, nor can it be transferred or exchanged. The winner and his/her guest are responsible for expenses not expressly described as part of the prize, including, but not limited to, travel documents (valid government-issued photo identification and any medical proof of vaccination/testing required by governments or suppliers at the time of travel), insurance, gratuities, additional baggage fees, additional transportation, food and beverages, communications, activities and all personal expenses and associated taxes. Winner must have a valid credit card for check-in, incidentals and hotel deposits at time of travel. The Contest Sponsor will not be held responsible if travel is impeded or refused due to reasons or decisions of government authorities (federal or provincial) or regional health authorities. Regional travel restrictions may apply. Please consult local, provincial, and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 travel restrictions prior to travel. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible if any event associated with the Prize is cancelled for any reason.
ODDS: Odds of winning the Price depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date.
AWARDING OF PRIZES: The Contest will consist of one (1) random draw in which the Contest Sponsor or its designated representative (the “Representative") will randomly select one (1) entry from all participating Québec Broue locations. The draw will be made from among all eligible entries received at each participating establishment during the Contest Period. The draw will take place on September 1, 2024, at noon ET (the “Draw Date"). The selected entrant will be notified by the Contest Sponsor or its Representative by email (using the contact information provided in the web submission form at the time of entry) within three (3) days of the Draw (the “Notification"). If the entrant has not responded to the Notice within three (3) days of receipt of such Notice, another entrant may, at the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsor, be selected by random draw, in which case that entrant will become the selected entrant and the previously selected entrant will be disqualified and will not be entitled to any Prize.
Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a timed mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Contest Sponsor. Before the Prize is awarded, the winner and his/her guest will be required to sign and return to the Contest Sponsor or its Representative a Declaration of Compliance with the Official Rules and a Release Form no later than 72 hours after receipt (hereinafter the "Release Form") releasing the Prize supplier, the Contest Sponsor, their affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, professional advisors, provincial liquor authorities and advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability arising out of, under or as a result of the operation of the Contest, including, without limitation, liability arising from the acceptance and use of the Prize as awarded, the administration of the Contest and the selection of a potential winner.
The Prize will only be awarded to the confirmed winner. If a potential winner (a) fails to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, (b) fails to properly complete and return the Release Form within the time period specified, (c) does not comply with these Contest Rules (as determined by the Contest Sponsor in its sole discretion), d) cannot be contacted in accordance with these Contest Rules for any reason and/or e) cannot accept the Prize for any reason, then the Contest Sponsor may, in its sole and absolute discretion, select another eligible entrant who may be disqualified in the same manner. The Contest Sponsor will not be held responsible for unsuccessful attempts to notify any potential winner.
Prize must be accepted as awarded. The Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other cards, as required by law. No substitutions except by Contest Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a Prize or any portion of a Prize with a prize of equal or greater value. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor are final and not subject to appeal. If delivery cannot be made following reasonable efforts on the part of the Contest Sponsor, the Prize may be cancelled.
The Contest Sponsor will not contact the participants, with the exception of selected participants. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible if, for any reason, a selected entrant does not receive notification or if the Contest Sponsor does not receive a selected entrant's response.
RELEASE: By entering the Contest and submitting an entry, each entrant (i) agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and all conditions of entry; (ii) agrees that the decisions of the Contest Sponsor are final and binding; (iii) releases and forever discharges the Released Parties from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, debts, claims, liabilities, losses or expenses and any and all rights, accounts, damages, prejudice or costs, including, without limitation, liability for any injury or loss or damage of any kind to entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death or property damage, arising out of or in any way connected, directly or indirectly, with the Contest, including, but not limited to, participation in the Contest, any violation of these Official Rules, the awarding, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any Contest Prize (or any part thereof), and any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of a Contest Prize, or the violation or infringement of any intellectual property right or any right of publicity, personality or privacy, and agrees to fully indemnify the Released Parties from any and all third-party claims related to the foregoing.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: The Released Parties are not responsible for damages caused or claimed to be caused by: (i) any entry, Prize or other correspondence or data that is lost, stolen, delayed, garbled, distorted, delayed, damaged or misdirected for any reason whatsoever; (ii) any failure, interruption, technical malfunction or delay; (iii) any e-mail, text message or other communication sent or received by the Contest Sponsor or any of its agents or designated person for any reason whatsoever; (iv) for any incorrect, untimely or inaccurate information, whether caused by a website, users, or by equipment or programming errors associated with or utilized in the Contest; (v) for any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of any entry or registration in the Contest; (vi) for any problems with the operation of any website or any function of the site, regardless of cause; (vii) malfunction or damage to the network or telephone line, computer equipment, data, software, online systems, servers or access providers; (viii) any functionality lost due to the absence or deactivation of browser cookies; (ix) Internet traffic; (x) the security or confidentiality of information transmitted over computer networks; (xi) invasion of privacy due to infiltration by third-party "hackers" or any damage suffered by a participant or any other person as a result of such an event; or (xii) technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, including lost, misdirected or corrupted entries, damage caused by viruses, worms or Trojan horses, or any other damage that may limit a person's ability to participate in the Contest.
ERRORS: The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of a winner, or the distribution of any Prize.
RIGHT TO TERMINATE, MODIFY OR SUSPEND THE CONTEST: The Contest Sponsor may at any time, in its sole discretion and without liability, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, subject only to any approvals required by law, if fraud, technical failures, errors in communications or other causes beyond the control of the Contest Sponsor corrupt the administration, integrity or security of the Contest or if any other factor interferes with the conduct of the Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, in the event of early termination of the Contest, a notice to that effect will be published on the Contest Website. In addition, for the purposes of determining eligibility to win a Prize in the event of early termination of the Contest, all eligible entries received prior to the time of early termination will be considered valid and, for the purposes of these Contest Rules, the Contest Period will be deemed to have ended at the time of early termination. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right at any time, in its sole discretion, to correct any errors, including but not limited to typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors. No waiver by the Contest Sponsor of any term hereof shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of any other condition.
DISQUALIFICATIONS: The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who: (i) tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (ii) act in violation of the Official Rules; (iii) have submitted an Entry that does not comply with these Official Rules; or (iv) act in an unfair or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. WARNING: ANY DELIBERATE ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR ALTER ANY ENTRY OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS; IF SUCH AN ATTEMPT SHOULD BE MADE, THE CONTEST SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL AND SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER RELIEF AGAINST SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
DISPUTES:
QUEBEC RESIDENTS: SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW AND THESE OFFICIAL RULES, ENTRANTS EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT THE COURTS OF QUEBEC SHALL HAVE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION OVER ANY DISPUTE OR CONTROVERSY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS CONTEST AND AGREE TO SUBMIT TO THE JURISDICTION OF THE COURTS OF QUEBEC. THE VENUE FOR ANY LITIGATION OR DISPUTE BY A RESIDENT OF QUEBEC WILL BE MONTREAL, QUEBEC.
PRIVACY POLICY: The Contest Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Contest Sponsor to administer the Contest and fulfill the Prize requirements and, only if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide entrants with information about upcoming promotions and/or events of the Contest Sponsor. INTERPRETATION: In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these Official Rules, the decision or interpretation of the Contest Sponsor shall prevail. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall remain in full force and effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
CONFLICTS/DIVERGENCIES: In the event of a conflict between the Contest details in these Rules and the Contest details contained in the Contest advertising materials (and in particular, online, point-of-sale, television and print advertising, promotional packaging, and other promotional media), the Contest details as set forth in these rules shall prevail.
SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAWS: The Contest is subject to these complete Official Rules and all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations. By entering the Contest, you acknowledge that you have read the Official Rules and agree to abide by their terms and the decisions of the Contest Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Contest should be addressed to the Contest Sponsor. All federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply. THIS CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
