Budweiser Stampede 2022 Program - Official Rules And Regulations

IMPORTANT:  PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS ("RULES") BEFORE ENTERING THE BUDWEISER BIG TICKET CONCERT SWEEPSTAKES (THE “CONTEST”). BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, AN ENTRANT REPRESENTS THAT HE OR SHE SATISFIES ALL OF THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS BELOW AND AGREES TO BE BOUND UNCONDITIONALLY BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ALL DECISIONS OF LABATT BREWING COMPANY LIMITED. 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE. MUST BE OF LEGAL DRINKING AGE. OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA ONLY.  

SPONSOR:  This Contest is sponsored by Labatt Brewing Company Limited (the “Contest Sponsor”). 

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to residents of Alberta who are of legal drinking age in Alberta, who are not employees, contractors, agents, or representatives of the Contest Sponsor or its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies, distribution companies, the applicable provincial liquor authorities, participating liquor licensees, prize suppliers, the Contest judge, or any person who is domiciled with any of the foregoing persons. The provincial liquor authorities are not connected with this Contest in any manner whatsoever and are not liable in any way whatsoever regarding any matter, which relates to this Contest. 

To be eligible, participants must have online access with a valid email address as of the date of their entry. Each unique PIN can only be entered once. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the entrant who submitted a valid PIN, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant.  The “Authorized Account Holder” is the natural person assigned to the email address by an online service provider, Internet access provider or other organization responsible for assigning the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address. An entrant may be required to provide the Contest Sponsors with proof that she or he is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. 

If you participate via a mobile device, you may incur standard data charges from your wireless service provider. Check with your wireless service provider for details on these and other applicable charges. Entrants are solely responsible for any such data charges. If you do not have Internet access via a personal computer, your local library or Internet café may be able to provide access to the Internet and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free email accounts. 

CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest starts on May 1, 2022, at 12:00:00 pm (noon) MT, and the Contest closes on July 3, 2022, at 11:59:59 pm MT (the “Contest Close Date”).  

HOW TO PLAY: During the contest period, consumers can look for a unique PIN card inside specially marked 15-can packs of Budweiser at participating retail locations or obtain one through no purchase necessary entry (see NO PURCHASE NECESSARY below for details), while supplies last.  Go to http://www.shopbeergear.ca/budweiserCS2022 and follow the instructions to enter the unique PIN for your chance to ‘instantly’ win a prize (see PRIZES below for details).  Once the PIN has been entered, you will be required to complete a contest entry form in full, including providing the correct answer to a skill-testing question. Once all mandatory fields have been completed, click submit and you will immediately see a message that will confirm whether or not you are an ‘instant’ winner.  

If you are not a winner, you will receive the following notice, “Sorry, you are not a winner!”.  

If you are confirmed as a potential winner, you will be automatically taken to a digital shopping cart where you can redeem your prize.  

Once the prize is entered into  the digital shopping cart and clicking “Claim My Prize, you will be taken to check out. Complete the checkout steps by inputting the following information: [Email, First Name, Last Name, Address (No PO boxes)]. Once check out is complete you will receive a confirmation email containing your digital prize code with instructions on how to redeem.  Prize will be emailed only after the checkout steps are completed and confirmed.

Entrants must complete the contest form in its entirety, including providing the correct answer to the skill-testing question, and be in compliance with these Rules to be eligible to win. Entries must be received prior to the Contest Close Date. Entries received after the Contest Close Date are void. Randomly-selected dates and times during the Contest Period will be chosen by the Contest Sponsor, and the first participant who submits an entry in accordance with these Rules (whose entry is properly received and recorded) on or immediately after a randomly-selected date/time during the Contest Period will potentially win an Instant Win Prize (subject to verification).  No responsibility is assumed by the Contest Sponsor for any inability of a potential entrant to successfully enter the Contest for any reason or for Prizes that remain unclaimed or unawarded.  

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: To receive a PIN without purchase while supplies last, please send a written request to Budweiser- Stampede 2022, 700 58 Ave SE, Calgary AB, T2H 2E2. Each request must include an approximately one hundred (100)-word original handwritten essay answering the question “What is your favourite horse and why?” along with sender’s name, return mailing address, the statement “I am a resident of Alberta and of legal drinking age in Alberta” and your signature. Limit of one unique request per postage stamped envelope. Limit of three (3) unique requests per week. Requests must be received in time so that a PIN can be mailed to you in time to participate before the Contest Close Date.  Although online access and an email account are required in order to participate in the Contest; many public libraries, Internet cafés, retail businesses and others offer access to the Internet and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free email accounts. PINs are only available while supplies last. 

PRIZES: There are 1000 Instant Win Prizes available to be won during the Contest Period, each consisting of 2 tickets to the Budweiser Big Ticket concert at Calgary Stampede on July 7, 2022 ( includes entry into the Calgary Stampede grounds). Approximate retail value of each prize is approximately $40 CAD. Contest Sponsor is not responsible if prize is impeded or refused by reason or decisions of any governmental authorities or the event venue. Please consult government and/or regional health authorities and event venue for any applicable restrictions related to COVID 19.   

The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received and the timing of each entry. 

The number of prizes available to be won will diminish as they are claimed throughout the Contest Period. Once the total number of prizes have been distributed, no further prizes will be available. Prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. No substitutions, except by the Contest Sponsors, who reserve the right to substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value. Awarding of a prize is subject to verification and compliance with the Rules.  Entrants who have not complied with the Rules will be disqualified. The Contest Sponsor makes no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any Prize once it has been sent. Any unclaimed prize will not be awarded. Once check out is complete you will receive a confirmation email containing your digital prize code with instructions on how to redeem.  Prize will be emailed only after the checkout steps are completed and confirmed.     

RELEASE: By participating in this Contest, all participants declare that they have read, understood and complied with the Rules, and for winners, consent to the use of their name, biographical information and/or likeness for the purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, agree to abide by all decisions by the Contest Sponsor (which are final), and agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Contest Sponsor, and each of its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, professional advisors and advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with participating in this Contest and/or any prize awarded. The Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions including lost, misappropriated or corrupted entries, virus, worm or Trojan Horse damage or any other damage which may limit a participant's ability to participate in the Contest. Before a prize is awarded, prize winners may be required to sign a standard declaration of compliance with the Rules and release form(s) in a form acceptable to the Provincial Liquor Authorities releasing the Released Parties from any and all liability arising out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the Contest, including, without limitation, liability arising from the acceptance of and usage of the prizes as awarded, the administration of the Contest and the selection of a potential winner. 

GENERAL: PINs obtained through unauthorized sources or which are not original or are illegible, altered, reproduced, stolen, forged, counterfeited, irregular, or that contain printing or other errors are void. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor shall be final. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to, errors in the advertising, the Contest Rules, selection of the winners or the distribution of any prize. In the event that, due to an error, more than the advertised number of prizes are claimed, no more than the number of prizes specified in these Rules shall be awarded. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to modify or terminate this Contest at any time without notice to participants. 

DISQUALIFICATIONS:  The Contest Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found (i) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (ii) to be acting in violation of the Official Rules and Regulations; (iii) to have submitted an entry that is not compliant with these Rules; or (iv) to be acting in an un-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY ALTER OR DAMAGE ANY ENTRY OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CONTEST SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL AND SEEK DAMAGES OR ANY OTHER REMEDY FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

PRIVACY: The Contest Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Contest Sponsors to administer the Contest and fulfill any prize requirements and, only if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide the entrants with information regarding upcoming promotions and/or events from the Contest Sponsors. For more information regarding the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information by the Contest Sponsors, please refer to the Contest Sponsors’ privacy policy, available at http://labatt.com/legal/lbc_eng_privacy.html. 

DISPUTES: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and the Contest Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Province of Ontario without regard to conflicts of law principles.  All entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the Province of Alberta. 

CONFLICTS/DISCREPANCIES: In the event of a conflict between any Contest details contained in these Rules and any Contest details contained in Contest advertising materials (including, but not limited to, online, point of sale, television, and print advertising, promotional packaging, and other promotion media), the details of the Contest as set forth in these Rules shall prevail. 

INVALIDITY: The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
