BALAD Story
Today, 663 million people live without access to clean water. This crisis disproportionately affects women, who spend millions of hours a day collecting it. That’s why Stella Artois has partnered with Water.org and created the Buy A Lady A Drink (BALAD) campaign. By providing access to clean water, we can positively change the lives of women and their families around the world.
Let’s change 3.5 million lives by 2020 with water. The water crisis takes away time. Imagine a day where safer water isn’t available at the turn of a tap. Instead, you’re forced to sacrifice up to 6 hours of you day on a journey to collect the water you and your family need to live. Would you be able to hold a job? Care for your loved ones? It’s nearly impossible to fathom these circumstances, but for millions in the developing world, this is reality.
At Stella Artois and Water.org, we are committed to creating a world where no one has to spend their valuable time gathering this resource so often taken for granted. Our goal is to provide safe water access to 3.5 million people throughout the globe by 2020. Since 2015, we’ve already helped more than 1 million.
With your purchase of a Limited Edition Stella Artois Chalice, you will help provide up to 5 years of safe drinking water to someone impacted by this global water crisis. Together, we can change this. Together we can #GiveThemTimeBack
