2022 Stella Artois Cookware ETW National Contest Rules & Regulations

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS ("RULES") BEFORE ENTERING THE “STELLA ARTOIS NATIONAL STAUB ENTER TO WIN” (THE "CONTEST"). BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, AN ENTRANT REPRESENTS THAT HE OR SHE SATISFIES ALL OF THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS BELOW AND AGREES TO BE BOUND UNCONDITIONALLY BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ALL DECISIONS OF LABATT BREWING COMPANY LIMITED (the “CONTEST SPONSOR”).

 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE. MUST BE 19 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER IN PROVINCE OR TERRITORY OF RESIDENCE.

 

ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to any legal resident of Canada who is 19 years of age or older in their province or territory of residence, who is not an employee, contractor, agent or representative of Labatt Brewing Company Limited (the "Contest Sponsor"), or its affiliates, agencies, distribution companies, and who is not an employee of the applicable provincial liquor agencies, license control/boards and their licensees, retailers, or distributors (the “Provincial Liquor Authorities”), prize suppliers, the contest judge, or a member of the immediate family (parent, spouse, sibling, child) of, or domiciled with any of the foregoing persons. The Provincial Liquor Authorities are not connected with this contest in any manner whatsoever and are not liable in any way whatsoever in regard to any matter which relates to this contest.

 

To be eligible, participants must have online access with a valid e-mail address as of the date of their entry. Each unique PIN can only be entered once. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address by an online service provider, Internet access provider or other organization responsible for assigning the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. An entrant may be required to provide the Contest Sponsor with proof that they are the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.

 

CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest will begin at approximately 9:00 am Eastern Time (“ET”) on or about October 10th, 2022, and will terminate on December 31st, 2022, at 11:59 pm ET (the “Contest Close Date”). 

 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: During the contest period, find a unique PIN printed inside specially marked 12 bottle packs of Stella Artois while supplies last, or obtain one through no purchase necessary entry (see NO PURCHASE NECESSARY below for details). Go to www.shopbeergear.ca/Stella-Staub and follow the instructions to enter the unique PIN for your chance to win 1 of 350 prizes (see PRIZES below for details).  Once the PIN has been entered, you will be required to complete a contest entry form in full, including providing the correct answer to a skill-testing question. Once all fields have been completed, click submit to enter the contest. Entrants must complete the contest form in its entirety, including providing the correct answer to the skill-testing question, and be in compliance with these contest rules in order to be eligible to win. Entries must be received prior to the Contest Close Date. Entries received after the Contest Close Date are void.

 

Limit one (1) entry per person, per day. Limit one prize per person/household. Any participant who attempts to enter with multiple accounts under multiple identities will be disqualified and forfeits any prize won, in the Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion. 

 

IMPORTANT: By entering the contest, you agree to participate in accordance with, and be bound by, these Rules, and you confirm that you are a resident of Canada and are of 19 years of age or older in your province or territory of residence.

 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: To receive a PIN without purchase, please send a postage stamped envelope and a unique 300-word original essay on ‘’What does savouring the moment mean to you’’ to ‘’Stella Artois Cookware Contest’’ at 180 Henri Dunant St. Moncton, NB, 1E1 1E6. Limit of 3 requests per person per week (each request must include a different original essay). In your envelope, include your return mailing address on a postage stamped envelope, and the statement "I am of legal drinking age in my province or territory of residence” with your name, address, and signature on paper. Requests must be received in time so that a PIN can be mailed to you in time to participate before the Contest Close Date. While supplies last. 

 

 

HOW TO WIN: There will be a random draw at approximately 3PM ET for a total of three hundred and fifty (350) prizes available to be won during the contest period on January 9th, 2023.

 

In the event that there are fewer eligible entries received for any Prize Draw during the Contest Period than the number of prizes to be awarded, the draws will be conducted only to the extent possible to select up to the maximum potential winners under these Rules. No responsibility is assumed by the Contest Sponsor for any inability of a potential entrant to successfully enter any Draw for any reason or for Prizes that remain unclaimed or unawarded. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled, illegible or incomplete entries. Proof of transmission (e.g. screenshots) does not constitute proof of receipt. Odds of winning a Prize depend on the eligible entries received prior to each draw date. The number of prizes available to be won will diminish as they are claimed throughout the Contest Period.

 

Awarding of a prize is subject to verification and compliance with the Rules. Entrants who have not complied with the Rules will be disqualified. The Contest Sponsor makes no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize. Any unclaimed prize will not be awarded. 

 

 

PRIZES: There are three hundred and fifty (350) Staub Cast Iron Cookware Sets available to be won (each, a “Prize”). The set includes a COCOTTE ROUND 3.8L CHERRY RED, BRAISER CHISTERA 4Qt CHERRY RED - 11" BASE, 10.25" FRY PAN CHERRY RED, SQUARE GRILL 10" CHERRY.  The approximate retail value of each Prize is $1500 (CDN).

 

Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. No substitutions, except by the Contest Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value.  The Contest Sponsor makes no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the appearance, safety, or performance of any prize. The Contest Sponsor will mail the prize directly to the Canadian address that the confirmed winner has indicated upon checkout. Standard release form(s) may be required prior to shipment of any prize. Contest Sponsor will not deliver to a P.O. Box. Delivery may take up to 8 weeks post confirmed check out. Prize may be forfeited if delivery cannot be effected following reasonable efforts by Contest Sponsor.  If there are fewer entries than the number of prizes available to be won, then only those entries will be eligible for a chance to win a prize and any remaining prizes will not be awarded.  Any unclaimed prize will not be awarded

 

HOW TO CLAIM A PRIZE: If you have been drawn as a potential winner, you must do the following in order to be declared a winner: 

(i) Respond to the E-mail notification from the Contest Sponsor’s designated agent within three (3) business days and provide the information requested to set up a phone call;

(ii) Correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical, electronic or otherwise, the required time-limited, a mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by the Contest Sponsor’s designated agent at a mutually agreeable time within the timeframe stipulated by the Contest Sponsor; 

(iii)  Sign the official declaration of compliance and prize release form, which includes releasing the Contest Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of any Prize or any portion thereof and return to the Contest Sponsors’ designated agent by fax or email within three (3) business days of receipt of the official declaration of compliance and prize release form; and 

(iv) Otherwise comply with these Rules.

 

If a potential winner of a Prize fails to meet any of these requirements, he/she will be disqualified and forfeit the Prize they have been selected as eligible to win.  Should the selected Prize winner be disqualified as provided under these Rules, the Contest Sponsor may then, at their sole and absolute discretion, select by random draw another eligible entrant for the Prize whom the Contest Sponsor or its representative will attempt to contact, and who will be subject to disqualification in the same manner.  The potential winner of any Prize may be required to furnish proof of identification that may include a driver’s license or other form of government photo identification as part of the verification process.  The Contest Sponsor and/or Agent will not be responsible for failed attempts to notify the potential Prize winner.

 

RELEASE: By participating in this contest, all participants declare that they have read, understood and complied with the contest rules, consent to the use of their name, biographical information and/or likeness for the purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation, agree to abide by all decisions by the Contest Sponsor (which are final), and agree to release and hold harmless the Contest Sponsor, the Provincial Liquor Authorities, their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, professional advisors and advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with participating in this contest and/or any prize awarded. The Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions including lost, misappropriated or corrupted entries, virus, worm or Trojan Horse damage or any other damage which may limit a participant's ability to participate in the Contest. Before a prize is awarded, prize winners may be required to sign a standard declaration of compliance with the Official Rules and release form(s) in a form acceptable to the Provincial Liquor Authorities releasing the Released Parties from any and all liability arising out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the Contest, including, without limitation, liability arising from the acceptance of and usage of the prizes as awarded, the administration of the Contest and the selection of a potential winner.  Any required form(s) must be signed and returned within the timeframe stipulated by the Contest Sponsor or prize will be forfeit. 

 

GENERAL: PINs obtained through unauthorized sources or which are not original or are illegible, altered, reproduced, stolen, forged, counterfeited, irregular, or that contain printing or other errors are void. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor shall be final. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including but not limited to, errors in the advertising, the contest rules, selection of the winners or the distribution of any prize. In the event that, due to an error, more than the advertised number of prizes are claimed, no more than the number of prizes specified in these rules shall be awarded. As such, there will be a random draw conducted amongst all eligible prize claimants after the contest closing date to award the specified prizes. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate this contest at any time without notice to participants.

 

CONSTRUCTION: Subject to applicable law and these Official Rules, this Contest and the Official Rules shall be governed by Ontario law and all entrants expressly agree that the Ontario courts shall have sole jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Contest and agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario. The venue of any dispute or litigation shall be Toronto, Ontario. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.

 

DISQUALIFICATIONS:  The Contest Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who is found (i) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (ii) to be acting in violation of the Official Rules and Regulations; (iii) to have submitted an entry that is not compliant with these Rules; or (iv) to be acting in an un-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY ALTER OR DAMAGE ANY ENTRY OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CONTEST SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL AND SEEK DAMAGES OR ANY OTHER REMEDY FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT OR INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

 

CONFLICTS/DISCREPANCIES: In the event of a conflict between any Contest details contained in these Rules and any Contest details contained in Contest advertising materials (including, but not limited to, online, point of sale, television, and print advertising, promotional packaging, and other promotion media), the details of the Contest as set forth in these Rules shall prevail.

 

DISPUTES: 

  1. RESIDENTS OF QUEBEC: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling.  Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.   

 

RESIDENTS OF CANADA, EXCLUDING QUEBEC:  All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and the Contest Sponsors in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Province of Ontario without regard to conflicts of law principles.  All entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the Province of Ontario. 

 

PRIVACY STATEMENT: The Contest Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Contest Sponsor to conduct the Contest and fulfill any prize requirements. With your consent, we  may collect, use and disclose your information in accordance with our privacy policy and/or provide you with information regarding upcoming promotions and/or events from the Contest Sponsor.
